Reiki changed my perspective

I used to be the most skeptical person in the room when it came to energy healing. My engineering brain wanted data, studies, proof. But after burning out badly at work, a friend convinced me to try Reiki.

The first session was strange — I felt warmth in places where the practitioner's hands weren't touching. By the third session, I noticed I was sleeping better and my constant jaw clenching had stopped. Whether it's placebo or energy flow, the results were real.

I'm now eight months into regular sessions and I've become a much calmer person. My partner noticed the change before I did. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Yes! I had almost the exact same experience. I went in as a skeptic and came out a believer. The jaw clenching thing is interesting — I also grind my teeth at night and my Reiki practitioner said it's very common in people who carry stress in their body. After a few sessions, my dentist actually commented that my teeth showed less wear.

I appreciate your honesty about being skeptical and still giving it a chance. I think a lot of people dismiss energy healing without trying it. Whether it's "real" or not, if it helps you feel better and function better, does the mechanism really matter?
