What are the different levels of Reiki training?

Reiki training is typically divided into three levels. Level one focuses on self-healing and basic hand positions. Level two introduces distance healing and emotional healing symbols. Level three, or master level, qualifies practitioners to teach and attune others. Each level deepens the practitioner's connection to the energy and expands their healing capabilities.

What should I expect during my first Reiki session?

You will remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a treatment table. The practitioner will gently place their hands on or above your body in a series of positions. Most people feel deeply relaxed, and some experience warmth, tingling or emotional release. There is no manipulation or pressure involved.

Can Reiki be combined with other therapies?

Absolutely. Reiki complements virtually any other healing modality, including conventional medicine, psychotherapy, massage and acupuncture. Many hospitals and clinics now offer Reiki as a supportive therapy alongside standard treatments for pain management and patient wellbeing.

Is there scientific evidence for Reiki?

Research into Reiki is ongoing. Several clinical studies have shown positive effects on pain reduction, anxiety and quality of life, particularly in hospital settings. While the mechanism is not yet fully understood by Western science, the growing body of evidence supports its use as a complementary therapy.

How often should I receive Reiki?

Frequency depends on your goals and circumstances. For acute issues, weekly sessions are common initially. For general wellness, monthly sessions may suffice. Your practitioner will recommend a schedule based on your individual response to treatment and your personal objectives.
