Traditional Chinese Medicine Experts

Since starting acupuncture, I've become really interested in understanding TCM more deeply. Can anyone recommend good introductory books? I'm looking for something accessible but not dumbed down. Bonus points if it covers the philosophical foundations and not just the practical techniques.

Great question! I always recommend "The Web That Has No Weaver" by Ted Kaptchuk as the best introduction. It explains TCM concepts in a way that respects both the tradition and the Western reader's perspective. For something more practical, "Between Heaven and Earth" by Beinfield and Korngold is excellent.

Seconding "The Web That Has No Weaver" — it's what got me interested in TCM in the first place. Also, if you like podcasts, there are some great ones that discuss TCM concepts in a modern context. Let me know if you want recommendations.
