You don't need to visit a TCM practitioner to benefit from acupressure. Here are three points you can stimulate yourself when stress hits:

LI4 (Hegu) — The fleshy area between thumb and index finger. Firm pressure for 30-60 seconds. Excellent for tension headaches and general stress. Note: avoid during pregnancy.

PC6 (Neiguan) — Three finger-widths below the wrist crease, between the two tendons. Helps with anxiety and nausea.

GV20 (Baihui) — Top of the head, where a line from the ears would meet. Gentle pressure for calming the mind.

Try these during your next stressful moment. Consistent practice yields better results than occasional use.

Just tried LI4 while reading this and I'm honestly surprised — I could feel the tension in my shoulders ease up a bit. Will definitely try the others. Thank you for making this accessible, Thomas!
