How I started my holistic journey

Two years ago, I was exhausted — physically and mentally. Conventional medicine helped with the symptoms but never the root cause. A friend suggested I see a naturopath, and honestly, I was skeptical.
The first consultation changed everything. Instead of rushing through a checklist, the practitioner spent over an hour asking about my lifestyle, stress levels, diet, and sleep. Nobody had done that before.
Sometimes the biggest step is simply being open to a different approach.
Over the next six months, I worked with:
- A naturopath for overall guidance
- A phytotherapist who introduced me to adaptogenic herbs
- A yoga instructor who taught me breathwork
I won't say everything is perfect now, but I feel more in control of my health than I ever did. If you're on the fence about trying holistic approaches, my advice is: just start somewhere. You don't need to change everything at once.
I'd love to hear your stories too — what brought you to holistic health?
